Coles County Fireworks are still on for dusk on the 4th at the Coles County Airport. Admission is free, gates open at 5pm. Shuttles start at 5pm, at the Cross County Mall in Mattoon and O'Brien Stadium in Charleston. Vendors are on site with all your fair food favorites. Bring your lawn chair or blanket but please leave your pets, alcohol, and personal fireworks at home. Happy 4th to everyone.

This week's installment of "movies in the park" is " Treasure Planet", held again Lytle Park, 9pm pm July 6th. This is Disney's animated version of "Treasure Island". Admission is free for this family friendly movie and snacks are available for purchase. Movies n the Park are presented by the Mattoon Library and Mattoon Arts Council.
