Don't miss our this week as Mattoon Babe Ruth Baseball continues its tradition of hosting world class tournaments... Mattoon will be the Host of the 2012 12yr old AND 15yr old State All Star Tournaments! Both will be held on July11th thru July 15th. The 12's Tournament will be held at Lawson Park and the 15's will be held at Peterson Park. More information is available at www.mattoonbaberuth.com

See how it all started:
See how the great tradition of Mattoon baseball and softball began as the Coles County Historical Society presents, "Baseball Across Three Centuries" in the Museum at the Depot in the Mattoon Amtrak Station. The Exhibit open now, each Friday 9am-noon, Saturdays 10am-2pm, Sunday's 1pm-4pm, and Wednesday's 5pm-7pm. For more information www.coleshistory.net.

NOW SHOWING at Lytle Park:
This week playing at Lytle Park is the "Labyrinth" which is the story of 15-year-old Sarah accidentally wishing her baby half-brother, Toby, away to the Goblin King Jareth who will keep Toby if Sarah does not complete his Labyrinth in 13 hours. This free PG movie is sponsored by the Mattoon Library and Mattoon Arts Council. Snacks are available for purchase and the movie start at dusk. Keep in mind that because of Bagelfest next week there will not be a movie July 20th but will be returning July 27th with the first of the showings of the full Harry Potter series.

Bagels Bagels Bagels:
Bagels for Parade Decoration will be available at Mattoon City Hall Wednesday afternoon July 18th while supplies last. Please remember these Bagels are for decoration only, not for consumption. For free bagels to eat... come to the Bagel Breakfast 8-10am at Demars Center Saturday July 21st . YUM.

| Dancin' with a purpose:
The Mattoon YMCA is hosting Zumbathon this Friday the 13th at the Mattoon Y from 7pm-9pm. Tickets are only $10 and be purchased ahead of time or at the door. Proceeds benefit Relay for Life Coles County. For more information call Wendy or Angie at the Y 234-9494.

Watercolor Quilts:On display now at Tarble Arts Center on the campus of Eastern Illinois University is "Rod Buffington: Watercolor Quilts". The exhibit celebrates the gift of Buffington's watercolor quilt paintings inspired by his grandmother's quilts, incorporating original and historic quilt patterns. Tarble Arts Center is located at 2010 9th Street on the EIU campus in Charleston. For more information call 217-581-2787 or at tarble@eiu.edu/tarble.
