Mattoon, IL Council #1057 members renovated the World War II Memorial located in front of City Hall in Mattoon. The Memorial was erected shortly after the conclusion of WWII and memorializes local WWII soldiers. Council #1057 members worked throughout the month of June to completely renovate the Memorial in time for Independence Day. The WWII Memorial serves as a symbol of local pride and patriotism.
