The City of Mattoon adopted the State of Illinois’ Liquor Control Act; therefore applications for a license or permit may be made at the City Clerk’s Office by an individual, partnership, or duly authorized officer of a club or corporation pursuant to Section 114 of the City of Mattoon Municipal Code by completing the following forms:

  1. Application
  2. Background Check Waiver

Current processing times are approximately four to six weeks, subject to change at any time without further notification to the public.
