The City of Mattoon is accepting applications for a Civil Engineering Technician. The primary duties include Computer-Aided Drafting, Field Surveying, Construction Inspection, and Contract Administration.
Candidates must at least possess a 2-year Associate Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, or equivalent. The position is open to recent graduates, May 2024 graduates, and/or experienced technicians with several years of experience. Having IDOT certifications in PCC, HMA and Documentation of Quantities a major plus, but not a requirement.
The starting salary is $43,680/yr ($21.00/hr) and dependent upon education, experience and certifications. The successful candidate is also eligible for paid overtime, health insurance, IMRF retirement, paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave.
