Roadwork and Street Closures

Beginning today October 2nd through Friday October 9^th during the hours of 7:30am to 2:30pm, the City of Mattoon Street Dept. will be grinding humps in the streets throughout town. Crews will begin work on Broadway Ave East from Logan Street to McFall Rd followed by South 9^th Street from Charleston Ave to Old State Rd. 

There may be road closures or one way traffic at times. Please be aware of traffic control and of workers in these work sites as the crews work as quickly and as safely as they possibly can.

We ask that people use an alternate route, if at all possible, to avoid any traffic backups and please be patient if you have to drive through the work zone. Sorry for the inconvenience, work will be completed as soon as possible.
