PUBLIC WORKS LABORERS
The City of Mattoon is accepting applications for 2 openings in the Street Department. The Street Department maintains; streets, sidewalks, water distribution, sanitary sewers, storm drainage, buildings & grounds, trees, and landscaping.
Starting pay is $21.94/hr for experienced construction workers, and $18.58/hr for applicants without construction experience. Benefits include overtime, pay holidays, vacation & sick leave, health insurance, and retirement. Full salary and benefits can be found by clicking here.
Mechanical aptitude is required. The position is required to obtain a Commercial Drivers License (CDL), with Air Brake & Tanker Endorsements, within the first 10 months of employment. The City will provide the CDL training.
