Mattoon Water Department – Summer Position

Summer position with the Mattoon Water Department

Full time at $16/hour

Work hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday

Job responsibilities:

• Assist with set up and installation of radio read water meters
• Complete service orders by turning on water service for new customers
• Complete service orders by turning off water service for customers vacating premises or due to nonpayment of charges
• Take meter readings
• Provide routine and as needed maintenance of City water meters
• Work independently and with minimal supervision
• Mechanical skills and a valid driver’s license are required
