Early Spring Clean Up – April 1st-11th
CITY OF MATTOON APRIL 1st - 11th, 2025 EARLY SPRING CLEAN UP MATTOON YARD WASTE FACILITY The City of Mattoon is providing roll-off dumpsters for residents at the Mattoon Yard Waste Facility at Shelby Avenue and Logan Street beginning April 1st – 11th, 2025. City Clean Up Day – April 12th
MATTOON CITY-WIDE CLEANUP SATURDAY, APRIL 12th, 2025 MATTOON YARD WASTE FACILITY The City of Mattoon will be conducting a Cleanup Day from 8 A.M. to 11 A.M. on Saturday, April 12th, 2025. Roll-off dumpsters will be available at the Mattoon Yard Waste Facility at Shelby Avenue and Logan Street. The dumpsters are available for Mattoon residents only. The City of Mattoon Public Works Department will be instituting a new method of reporting issues and requesting information. We will soon have an online internet-based reporting system that you can use to report issues and request information that will give real-time updates of the status of your inquiry. Dodge Grove Cemetery Spring Cleanup
The City of Mattoon announces the annual Dodge Grove Cemetery spring clean up begins March 24, 2025. Please have all items on Shepard hooks, ground items and in vases removed. Shepard hooks and vases on stones do not need to be removed. Clean up will begin March 24 and go through to March 28, 2025. The spring clean up is expected to be completed by March 28th.
Council-Manager Government Presentation
During the Presentations, Petitions, and Communications portion of the City Council Meeting on March 4, 2025, there will be a public presentation on the Council-Manager form of government, covering how it works and its benefits to the community. The Council Meeting is scheduled to start at 6:30PM. Residents are welcome to attend in person or join remotely via Webex (click here for virtual meeting info). A recording of the Council Meeting will be posted on our YouTube page in the coming days.
