MATTOON CITY-WIDE CLEANUP SATURDAY, APRIL 11, 2026 MATTOON YARD WASTE FACILITY The City of Mattoon will be conducting a Cleanup Day from 8 A.M. to 11 A.M. on Saturday, April 11, 2026. Roll-off dumpsters will be available at the Mattoon Yard Waste Facility at Shelby Avenue and Logan Street. The dumpsters are available for Mattoon residents only. A Driver's License, or other proof of residency, is required in order to dispose of material at the site. The site is open for residential clean-up. The Street Department maintains streets, sidewalks, water distribution, sanitary sewers, storm drainage, buildings & grounds, boulevard trees, and landscaping. Starting pay is between $20.59/hr - $24.31/hr depending on qualifications. Benefits include overtime, paid holidays, vacation & sick leave, health insurance, and retirement.
