The Mattoon Police Department is receiving complaints of political and other signs being placed on boulevards. Please remember this is against city ordinance, and we ask that you move them ASAP. We will begin having our officers pull them starting Friday. We would all rather see our officers doing other things than this, so please get them moved. Thank you!! ... See MoreSee Less

I already knew there could be no signs on the Blvd but people are ok with all the houses falling down in Mattoon or the yards just full of junk?? 👌

The people pay the taxes on the property they should be allowed to voice there political stuff. Seems like there is much more things to attend to.

Im guessing this is a public -vs- private property issue 🤔

I hope the city starts cutting the grass on the boulevard and take care of the trees. My neighbor has an acorn tree, that's fun during mowing season, so fun.

People need to keep leaving this town.
